ORLAND PARK, IL — Thanksgiving Day shopping at the mall in Orland Park will not be available this year. Simon Property Group, the owners of Orland Square Mall, announced in September that they will be closing all locations on Thanksgiving Day, amid the COVID-19 pandemic. "In these challenging times, we made the decision that we will not open on Thanksgiving Day, instead allowing our associates to spend the holiday with their loved ones," said David Simon, chairman, chief executive officer and president of Simon.
