Description
VIENNA, VA — Greenheart Juice Bar and Cafe turns one in March and will celebrate with various activities.
During the weekend of March 26 and 27, the business will host free fitness classes, pop-up shopping, live music and raffles. A portion of proceeds will benefit One Neighborhood Foundation, a nonprofit founded from the Vienna VA Foodies Facebook group.
Greenheart Juice Bar and Cafe specializes in cold-pressed juices, nut milks and other health-minded food. The brand was first founded by Alicia Swanstrom in the DC region in 2013. Greenheart is named in honor of Swanstrom's late partner Doug Green, who was deployed to Afghanistan for his last tour in 2011 and was killed in action. Greenheart references the matching green heart tattoos the couple had.
Vienna's location at 208 Dominion Road NE opened in 2021. A brick-and-mortar location followed success in town at the Vienna Farmers Market and with home delivery. The location near the Washington & Old Dominion Trail, was chosen based on parking access, proximity to health and wellness boutiques, walking distance to Church Street and the sense of family and community in Vienna. Other locations are in Aldie, Leesburg and DC's Union Market.
