Here are the top three stories in Roanoke today: Roanoke City Councilman Robert Jeffrey Jr. has forfeited his city council seat after entering a plea deal in his embezzlement case. He was accused of embezzling more than $100,000 and was facing more than 60 years behind bars. He was found guilty of one count of embezzlement. (WSLS 10)The Roanoke County Redistricting Committee has launched a new web-based mapping application for the community to provide feedback on redistricting efforts. A public hearing will be held on Mar. 22 to address adjustments to magisterial districts, precincts, and polling places. Comment can also be submitted by emailing the Board of Supervisors.
