Car Bursts Into Flames After Crash In Milford

MILFORD, CT — A car was engulfed in flames after crashing into a utility pole late Wednesday night in Milford, according to fire officials. Firefighters responded to the Route 15 South Exit 55 off-ramp around 11:30 p.m. on the report of a one-vehicle rollover into a utility pole with extrication, according to the Milford Professional Firefighters Union, IAFF Local 944 union's Facebook page. "While en route Car 4 E-7 Squad 1 and Medic 3 were updated by dispatch that the vehicle was fully involved in fire," officials wrote in the post. "E-7 was first on scene and was assisted by Squad 1 with extinguishment. Squad 1 and Car 4 assisted The Connecticut State Police who remained on scene over night while the exit was closed off for their investigation."
