Good Thursday morning Connecticut, It's a busy morning of breaking news across the state. Here is the rundown of the top stories/headlines across the entire state of Connecticut Man fatally shot while in bed, police say Farmington police have a suspect in custody on a seven-figure bond Thursday morning after a nighttime shooting they are calling a homicide. At 10:56 Wednesday night, the Farmington Police Department received a 911 call from a single-family home on Sunset Terrace in the Unionville section of town. The caller reported that a shooting had just occurred inside the residence, police said. Officers located a 32-year-old man lying in bed with multiple gunshot wounds, police said. According to a report, a 24-year-old man had fled the scene in the victim's vehicle. The suspect is being held on a $1 million dollar bond. (For more details on this breaking news story, click here). Man shot, killed at Branford Motel during alleged robbery: police A shooting at the Branford Motel overnight is under investigation, according to Deputy Police Chief John Alves. Police said they found the shooter on scene, who reported being robbed at gunpoint while staying at the motel. Officers located an "armed male individual" in a room at the motel who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds, police said. Medics from the Branford Fire Department attempted to treat the individual, however, determined the individual was deceased, police said. (Read More here). Popular TV news anchor announces a big change Long-time TV news personality in Connecticut, Rich Coppola, announced on social media that he'll be changing his role at WTNH News 8. He has been working on the anchor desk at News 8 but will be moving into a full-time reporting role for the state. The Laurel first reported the news.
