GREENWICH, CT — Greenwich police said they are investigating a burglary from a home in Old Greenwich that occurred while the homeowners were sleeping in the early morning hours of March 15.
Lt. Martin O'Reilly of the GPD said a male entered the occupied home on Gisborne Place around 2:22 a.m. and stole credit cards and $1,000 in cash. There was no contact with the homeowners, who were upstairs asleep, police added. The burglary was reported to police around 9 a.m. later that day.
The GPD said in an announcement on Facebook that there was also a burglary attempt at a nearby house on the same night.
"Greenwich Police has some leads on these incidents," police said on Facebook. "We would like to remined residents to lock their doors, set their alarms if they have them, leave some lights on at night and report anything suspicious to us as it is occurring."
