Man, 52, Shot In Back Wednesday Night In Piscataway

PISCATAWAY, NJ — A 52-year-old man was shot Wednesday evening in Piscataway, according to police there. The man was shot at approximately 5:24 p.m. on Poplar Place. When police got there, they locatd the 52-year-old man with a single gunshot wound to his back. He was treated by local EMTs and transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. His injury does not appear to be life threatening, said police. Multiple empty shell casings were located by the responding units. Police said they are searching for a white, compact SUV that they say was used in the shooting. It was last seen headed west on West Third Street and made a left turn (south) onto Hazelwood Place. Anyone with information can contact Detective Joseph Naccarato at (732) 562-2359 or Sgt.
