Harford County Hosting Sports Equipment Donation Drive

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — To give more kids the chance to be involved in sports, Harford County is partnering with Leveling the Playing Field to a sports equipment donation drive through the end of March. "If you'd like to help, drop off your new or gently used equipment, like baseball gloves, cleats, and lacrosse sticks, at any of our Parks and Recreation activity centers and buildings," County Executive Barry Glassman said in the county's latest newsletter. New and gently used equipment can be dropped off at any parks and recreation building or in the permanent drop box installed at Cedar Lane Regional Park in Bel Air. Harford County organizations that serve low-income children, like recreation councils, teams or schools, can apply to visit the warehouse and pick up what they need, free of charge.
