Happy Friday, New Orleans! Let's get you all caught up to start today off on an informed note. First, today's weather: Breezy; strong a.m. t-storms. High: 79 Low: 53. Here are the top three stories today in New Orleans: In Marraro, after responding to a call about a disturbance, a deputy fired shots while interacting with two juvenile suspects. The suspects, who are believed to be 14 and 15 years old, fled the scene in a car that later crashed after a brief pursuit. The suspects were arrested without injuries. (FOX 8 Local First) Five shootings have occurred in New Orleans within a 10-hour timeframe. The incidents have left three dead and two injured. The first victim was found dead in a car by police at the intersection of Willow and 3rd around 7 pm on Wednesday. The next incident occurred just off Chef Menteur Highway at 9 pm where officers found a man who they pronounced dead at the scene. Later that night two people with gunshot wounds arrived at a hospital for treatment, the location of where the incident occurred is unknown at this time. Finally, early Thursday morning, the last shooting occurred in the Plum Orchard area leaving one dead. NOPD is actively pursuing an investigation into each incident.
