PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Phoenixville's borough council will consider a resolution that would shut down part of Bridge Street to allow for socially distanced outdoor dining. The 100 and 200 blocks of Bridge would be closed. The proposal would also dedicate the borough parking lot at Main and Bridge streets for dining. A vote on the matter is scheduled for Tuesday evening's council meeting. Outdoor dining began in Phoenixville last Friday as Chester County moved into the yellow phase of the state's reopening plan. For a full list of local restaurants offering outdoor dining, see here. >>Outdoor Dining Opens In Phoenixville: Here's Where To Eat Of course, these eateries are limited by space concerns outside. While some establishments like Great American Pub have a very large outdoor dining area built in to their premises, others in the area are confined to comparatively small sections of the sidewalk. The new resolution, if passed, woulld allow dining in the roadway during the following hours: Thursdays: 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.Friday, Saturday, and Sunday: 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.Road closures would be in place every weekend from 2 p.m. to Monday at 7 a.m. to allow for setup and breakdown, into the indefinite future. All customers must wear masks unless seated at a table.
