Chesco Businesses Get $5 Million In Coronavirus Relief Grants

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — Small businesses around Chester County bore the brunt of the coronavirus closures. Now, as the county sits firmly in the yellow phase of reopening and looks toward green, local businesses are getting a much needed financial boost. The county has awarded grants of up to $25,000 to 248 businesses countywide through the Main Street Preservation program, they announced. "Preservation of Chester County's main street businesses and our agricultural enterprises are a crucial part of our economic recovery and we are doing everything that we can to help them survive COVID-19," Commissioner Marian Moskowitz said. "Even though restrictions have lifted somewhat in the yellow phase, many businesses still need support, not only in moving forward, but also in helping with the losses they have experienced over the past three months." For a full list of all recipients of the grant, see here. All businesses with revenues of $500,000 or less were eligible to recieve funding. A total of 674 businesses applied for funding.
