PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Chester County and Phoenixville officially moved into the green phase last Friday, meaning that indoor dining and drinking, gyms, barbershops, and more can now reopen. It also means larger gatherings are permitted, and concerts around the area are back on the schedule. Steel City Coffeehouse has announced their first music events since the outbreak began. Wake Up John will perform on Saturday, July 11. The show will be free. "This will be our first show since early March, so it will be a free event," co-owner Laura Vernola said. "We've been reaching out to community sponsors for shows which allows us to pay the band and not stress about the overhead on a show night." In addition, Rob Pallett will play the shop's "Free Acoustic Friday" on Friday, July 10 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Steel City Coffeehouse will also resume their popular open mic nights on Thursday, July 2 at 7 p.m. It will continue every Thursday night following. Seating for both dining and music events at Steel City will be limited to less than 50 percent capacity. Steel City' open 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
