NEW BRITAIN, PA — The New Britain Township Police Department shared a mysterious message about a possibly-stolen item Wednesday, seeking its owner. Police said the statue, pictured above, is suspected to have been taken on Sunday. Police "recovered" the statue on Sunday, too, they said. The statue depicts a fiddling man with a nice little cap. Police did not say how old the statue is, whether it has much value, or where it may have come from. "No information or cooperation was provided by the person who had possession of it," they wrote. The statue is being held at the New Britain Township Police Department in an attempt to find the owner. "If nobody claims ownership of the statue with proof, it will be released to the person who had possession of it," police said. Those with information about the statue can reference report #2022-06-0970. Be the first to know what's going on in Bucks County when you subscribe to Patch.
