Press release from the Sacramento County Government: March 16, 2022 Sacramento County's Bradshaw Animal Shelter is bringing back their mobile pet wellness clinic. Their first clinic is scheduled for Sunday, March 20, 2022, at Howe Park in the Arden-Arcade area between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. The mobile dog clinic is part of the Bradshaw Animal Assistance Team (BAAT) veterinary outreach. The program provides free basic veterinary services to low-income and unsheltered pet owners in Sacramento County. Prior to the pandemic, the volunteer-run program provided critical care for more than 9,200 pets in our community from 2016 to 2019. "The need for care has only increased during the past two years of the pandemic," says BAAT Clinic & Shelter Volunteer Coordinator, Celeste Ingrid. "We're looking forward to getting back into our communities with the care that disadvantaged pets need." The mobile clinic offers many free services for dogs including: Vaccinations Microchipping Deworming Engraved ID tags and collars Flea prevention Treatment of some minor medical conditions For more information about the upcoming clinic, visit the shelter's Facebook page.
