Join us for an afternoon of gardening fun! Caring Kids is partnering with Hope Garden Project and Mason Conservation District for an afternoon of gardening fun! Stop by to learn how to start and care for a garden. We'll have a few activities for younger kids to participate in. We look forward to seeing you there! Hope Garden Project offers an after school and summer programming to Mason County youth focused around vegetable gardening, healthy cooking, yoga and community engagement. Every week crew members hone their knowledge of organic food production and learn how to cook meals that are affordable, healthy AND delicious. We work at the HOPE Garden, across from Mason General Hospital, and primarily serve students from CHOICE Alternative High School. Crew members also engage in regular workshops on leadership development, job skills, and positive communication tools. Youth regularly support their community's health through food demos and nutrition workshops.
