Great Maintenance Manager Opportunity in Fairbanks! Weidner Apartment Homes is now hiring for a Service Manager to lead a team of Building Maintenance Technicians! If you have extensive experience in building maintenance, have managed others and are looking to work for a company with strong stability look no further we have the job for you! A Service Manager oversees the all the maintenance of an apartment community. A successful candidate is one who is dependable, experienced and can take direction. The Service Manager will work with the Community Director and be responsible for the completion of all work tasks in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with company safety standards. Responsibilities: • Prepare and/or supervise the preparation of apartments for occupancy • Complete service requests and preventive maintenance • Performs maintenance and repairs on electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, as well as small and large appliances • Manage service staff including staff scheduling and address staffing issues promptly, • Perform carpentry work and paint interiors and exteriors as needed • Maintain Inventory and order maintenance supplies as needed Qualifications: • Experience in apartment maintenance or related field preferred • Strong verbal communication skills and customer service skills • All service personnel are also required to have a personal set of general tools • Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds • Push/pull up to 200 pounds • Have a valid driver license and reliable transportation • HVAC certified We offer competitive salaries, excellent benefits including medical, dental and vision, matching 401k program and a generous 30% discount on rent!
