It is certainly possible that the conflict in Eastern Europe could eventually lead to a third world war, but it is not inevitable. The Ukraine is putting up a good fight, and the Russian people are paying a significant price. If Putin feels like he has nothing left to lose, he will drag this out to the end and possibly start a nuclear war. However, if he feels like there is an offramp he can take, he might do so. If someone in his inner circle puts a bullet in Putin's head, it could also be avoided. The people whom you listen to on the radio, really aren't that smart, peckerwood. Fortunately, and unlike you, the people who are making the decisions about how to deal with Putin are capable of abstract thought.
