Eagles Fans Can 'Attend' Games Via Fan Cutouts

PHILADELPHIA — While fans are not allowed to go inside Lincoln Financial Field during the coronavirus pandemic, they will be able to have a presence in the stadium thanks to the Eagles' new fan cutout initiative. This season, fans can submit a photo of themselves to be used for a cutout that will be placed in the Linc during Eagles games. The Eagles' fan cutout program is similar to the Phillies' in that you pay a fee and send in a photo of yourself in Eagles gear, then the photo is turned into a cutout that will get an assigned seat in the stadium. Fan cutouts will start in the lower end zones and then will spread around the lower seating bowl as long as Lincoln Financial Field is closed to fans. "Fans are the backbone of our sport," Eagles Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie said during a news conference Sunday. Lurie said he is hopeful that fans will be able to attend home games in 2020. Cutouts cost $100 and go on sale at 8 a.m. Thursday online here. They will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. All net proceeds from the sales will benefit the Eagles Autism Foundation, the team's public charity championed by Lurie to help raise funds for autism research and care. Fans who purchase a cutout and participate in the Eagles Autism Challenge will have their registration fee waived in 2021.
