Description
of all freaking places:
The Grateful Dead combined folk, rock, folk rock, blues rock, blues, rock, rock and roll, country etc
and made their own thing out of it, some of the greatest sounds to come from a rock and roll band, ever
in the history of our great planet Earth.
Does anyone want to try anything like this?
If so, I'm up for it. But in the meanwhile, we could play some Grateful Dead songs, or some songs
by your favorite jam band, or whatever else we decide to play that sounds like it might be something
we might want to play.
So, here is an interview I recently conducted with myself:
What are you looking for?: A band to play in
What do you play?: the dang old Geetar, also sing some
How long have you been playing: I'll say 35 years.
Who are your influences on guitar?: at this pointy I'm going to go with mainly just Jerry Garcia. I know in the old days, I was a metal head, so some of those too, you might say, I don't like metal anymore, except for maybe Motorhead, and Black Sabbath. The song "Motorhead" by Motorhead is one of my favorite songs. My favorite genres of music are punk rock, jazz, and Grateful Dead, I'm too old to play punk rock these days, so I'm going with Grateful Dead.
Who are your vocal influences: I'm going to go with Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir, Hank Williams, Bob Dylan, Glen Danzig, and
I want to say Elvis, but I'm not going to do it. I think there might have been one more, I'll get back to you if I remember it. (Lou Reed, the great Lou Reed, that's it.)
