We need someone to cover the months of June-August (May 22nd-Sept 4th) who is able to play piano and/or organ. This would be a contract/paid position, covering Sunday worship and occasional, special services if they arise; contracted at $500/month for three months, or $125/week for partial periods.
I was hoping we could offer this as an "internship" opportunity, particularly for a music student to gain professional experience, or otherwise as an opportunity for someone who loves to use their gifts and musical talents in the LORD's service, especially as we anticipate this being a repeat "need" every summer.
This individual would be responsible for playing three hymns (selected by the Pastor), a prelude, postlude, and anthem or offertory (chosen by the musician), and the occasional short musical response. The church facility would be available for practicing and they would also be welcomed and invited to join the congregation in our meals and other fellowship/discipleship activities, if they so desired.
