Guitarist seeking MUSIC MENTOR and PRODUCER

[PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE POST BEFORE RESPONDING. THANKS!] Hello everyone! I’m a guitarist currently seeking someone who could be my music mentor. I’m currently trying to write and record original music. I’m in need of help with writing songs, recording, and production. I will say up front that I don’t have the money to offer compensation, which is why I have decided not to go knocking on doors, but rather to post an open advertisement and let prospective mentors respond to me. Ideally, someone who thinks it might be of mutual benefit for the two of us to work together would be the best candidate for helping me. We’ve all been beginners before, and have all needed help at some point. I’m currently experiencing difficulty in my writing, and am having a tough time recording from home. I have been slowly learning how to use DAWs over the past 2 years, and know how to use them fairly, well, but that’s a different thing than saying I can record and produce well. As far as songwriting goes, I have reached a plateau, and can’t seem to progress much further on my own. I’m looking for someone who has experience recording, is familiar with modern DAWs, and can help with songwriting and artist development. I believe I’ve got good raw talent and a baseline to work from, and I believe I’ve got mountains more potential to tap into. I just need the help getting there. My musical style is similar to 80s heavy metal. Very Van Halen-derived. I would prefer someone who has a particular knowledge and experience with this style.
