What we are looking for: - Male singer. Acoustic Guitar or keyboards a plus but not required. - Sing lead on roughly 75% of songs and sing backup on others. - Learn the 30+ songs we have; suggest addl songs that feature your vocal strength. - No Drugs, Drinking problems, or egos. - Must have reliable transportation and your own gear as appropriate. - Practice 1 weekend night per week in SW Cary (generally Friday or Saturday). - Must be able to communicate timely with other band members via email and/or text. - Must be covid vaccinated. - Gigs: Available / desire to gig every 6-8 wks. This is a recreational band. Who we are: - This is NOT an established band; it is a startup band. - Mainly classic rock plus some blues and popular alt rock - Bands: REM, Chili Peppers, Gin Blossoms, Joe Cocker, Counting Crows, Tommy Tutone, Santana, Sister Hazel, Beatles, ZZ Top, Elton John, Tom Petty, Georgia Sat, Cars, John Mellencamp, Rolling stones, Rolling stones, Modern English, Beatles, Doors, Dobey Grey, Romantics, Ever Clear, Wall Flowers, The Cure, Dire Straits. - We have bass, drums, lead guitar and rhythm guitar. - Musicians 50's - early 60’s with day jobs and family obligations looking to play for fun at local venues. - Not intended to be a serious source of income. We do this for fun, not for the money. - Target Venues: private parties, small restaurants and clubs, outdoor festivals, charity events etc - in and around the Raleigh area.
