Both the boys and girls varsity golf teams from Shepard High School won the South Suburban Conference Red Division championship this weekend. For the girls team, it was the first time in school history that they won conference. The Astros produced a strong team effort, landing many on the All-SSC team: Natalie Nowak/4th placeCalah Strohacker/4th placeNicole Pietrucha/6th placeAva Serdar/6th placeRiley Evoy/10th place For the boys, Anthony Baffi and Matt Huston tied for first place with a 78, followed closely by Sam Hrycaj in second place with a 79 Tyler Rosecrants placed fourth with a 81 and Emmett Kingzette placed seventh with a 86 to join them on the All-SSC team.
