Looking to adopt a large dog , safe with cat and small kid.

I'm pretty sure I've looked at every adoption agency online that's not crazy far away. Pretty much all of them have dogs that aren't safe with a cat or most of them not able to go to a home with a small child. Where do I find a large dog that's good with a small child being in the house too? Please reply to this email if you have any leads that could help. Any age is fine and breed too. Just want a large, sweet dog addition to the family. Thank you (Schenectady area btw)
