Basic Function Performs duties in processing seafood with a higher level of skill including fish grading, tallying, sawing, filleting, and equipment operation. Essential Duties: 1) Grades and differentiates between all species of fish with a general understanding of quality specifications. 2) Follows proper documentation procedures for related production jobs. This includes box tallies and production orders. 3) Performs cutting procedures properly for various products in a productive and efficient manner. Ability to use saw, knife, and other production equipment properly. 4) Uses a knife for removal of belly, bones, collars, fins, and undercuts for filleting. 5) Operates all equipment pertaining to production. Ensures safe and efficient operation while adhering to production guidelines for quality and quantity. 6) Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: High school or equivalent. Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience working in physical general labor jobs. Must be able to work in a cold and wet environment for 10+ hours a day, while standing on a production line. Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds and use fine manipulation when performing filleting, portioning, and packing. This is an hourly non-exempt position with the starting pay of $15.45 per hour.
