Greenskeeper I (Seasonal Position) Greenskeeper II (Full-Time) Operate assigned mowing and maintenance equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with golf course policies and procedures QUALIFICATIONS: • High school or higher preferred. • Some golf course or landscaping experience preferred. • Requires knowledge of the safe operation of mowing and other motorized equipment; knowledge of maintenance tools and gasoline powered small equipment; mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow oral and written directions. • Knowledge of the game of golf helpful, along with its basic rules of play. • Must be team player and willing to learn all phases of golf course maintenance. • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the assigned mower, motorized vehicle or hand tools. • Valid Driver License ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Mower operation - Perform mowing operations in a safe and efficient manner as assigned and in line with golf course maintenance policies and procedures. • Small equipment operation - Perform maintenance tasks with the use of small motorized equipment or hand-held gasoline powered tools; sand rakes, utility vehicles, weed trimmers, blowers, chain saws, and fly mowers. • Manual hand tools - Perform manual labor tasks with rakes, hoes, and shovels, as assigned. • Equipment maintenance - Under the direction of the Equipment Mechanic, perform routine preventive maintenance to equipment used; greasing, daily washing and scrubbing, replacing tools and implements used at the end of the work day, and ensuring the equipment is returned to the designated location at the maintenance facility. MARGINAL FUNCTIONS: • Uphold the company’s Mission/Vision/Values • Course set up ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to perform duties in a wide variety of climatic conditions. Must wear protective gear when operating power equipment. Lifting over 20 pounds and constant physical activity. Prolonged walking, and standing. Exposure to mechanical equipment, fertilizers, chemicals and solvents.
