Description
Be the mentor you had, or wish you had.
Family of Friends Mentoring intentionally matches youth ages 6-12 in East Multnomah County with volunteer individuals, couples, or families who mentor though building healthy, joyful, stable, and consistent relationships through weekly meet-ups for a minimum of one year. You can empower a child to build confidence, develop positive self-identity, and gain skills to become the leader of their life and in their community.
We welcome and value volunteers of all backgrounds and practice three core values to help our youth succeed: healthy relationships, youth power and choice, and racial equity (practicing anti-racism). We ask that our volunteers commit to practicing and learning about these values, and our skilled staff provides support every step of the way.
Visit our website at family-of-friends.org for more information about volunteering with the Spring 2022 mentor cohort.
