Description

I am fostering a female young cat who is very active, and who enjoys constantly exploring, and who is able to find ways to play on her own, and who also quite impresively becomes very instinctive in how passionately she becomes involved in persuing and persecuting certain imaginary preys, and very often carefully hides and strategizes and ocxasionally pounces right on top of a toy/item which she has designated as her object if interest/"her prey" for that particular game. And i am impressed by how committed she is to her imaginary persuit ! I have had her for approximately two months, i think. She belonged to one of my neighbors, but he felt that she remained too focused on "escaping" to outside, too many times this happened, he said. I was considering keeping her, but i was already getting ready/longing to rehome a dog. So i feel that a dog is my priority. Her name, with my neighbor, was Trixie. I gave ger another name ; F'Leena. Yet, i have been usung both nsmes, but she doesnt respond very obediently with either. To me, she comes accross as very independent. She is nice, but her affections seem brief. Her strengths, to me, are her metabolism/activity levels, which i consider quite active, and very creative in finding ways to entertsin herself. My neighbor says that she is approximately 10 months old. I am planning in taking her to the veterinarian, to get her spayed, and for all the shots/care that she needs, but i havent done that yet. And i want to find a place that seems very affordable. Very recently she has become very vocal, asking to be allowed to go outside. And, she has grown fascinated with attempting to try to jump up from the porch rails up to the roof. The day before yesterday she did jump and reached the roof. And i live on the second floor. So, this is way too dangerous. And now i am too worried that she might fall, or that she might successfully escape, with so many risks out there ! ! ! She escaped again, today, by jumping up to the roof ! And, when i open the door to my small porch the only thing in her mind is to jump to the roof ! So, i am hoping to find a home who feels that their scenario/circumstances may be compatible for her personality/type. I don't know what can be done so that she doesnt feel that she "must" be outdoors. Maybe she might be in heat, so that may be part of it. I will not charge a rehoming fee, because she still also needs to be taken to the veterinarian, for all her sgots, and to get spayed !
