Now that she’s nearing 9 weeks, it is now time to start looking for her forever family! A DNA test has been sent in to determine the breeds that make up her genetic make-up, but we are going with a standard “pit mix” until results are in. Claire is a very happy girl, and high energy. She should be adopted by a dog experienced pet parent, as she will need one who has a firm grasp on proper training. Though she loves kids and is always ready to play, it is highly suggested that children 8+ are in the home. She likes to jump and nip, which is a normal behavior in puppies and one that she is being actively trained on to stop. The pet parent needs to continue to curb these undesirable behaviors. While cute now, she will grow quickly and it will turn into a problem. Please set Claire up for success and adopt if you have the perfect home that can train a puppy. More information can be given by the foster mom. Claire has been socialized with dogs and children and cats. Working on crate training and doing very well. Is also using the dog door.
