Our client in Fishkill, NY is currently seeking a qualified mechanic (diesel truck and forklift) to join their growing organization. • Perform all preventive maintenance and repair work necessary on fleet vehicles, including diesel engine system diagnosis, electrical diagnosis, and boom cranes. • Perform all preventive maintenance and repair work on forklifts, including hydraulics, seals etc. • Update vehicle inspection and maintenance reports via computer software program • Ensure compliance with all Federal and State vehicle repair requirements. • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment Qualifications: • Welding/torching experience • Knowledge of pneumatic systems • Knowledge of electrical systems • Knowledge of hydraulics • Mechanical aptitude to solve problems • Preventative maintenance experience Excellent Benefits + eligible for union membership after successful completion of evaluation period.
