E.T.& L. Corp., Stow, MA, is seeking an Equipment Manager. Candidate would be responsible for the entire fleet of equipment and vehicles as well as managing the staff in the garage. Candidate should be an experienced and knowledgeable individual who understands heavy equipment, commercial and pickup truck repairs, parts, construction equipment components and attachments. Should have excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work; excellent communication skills both written and verbal, including electronic communication. Essential Functions and Responsibilities 1. Manage the staff in the garage on daily tasks. 2. Schedule, coordinate and supervise all equipment activities for all projects; work with Superintendents to support their equipment requests. 3. Manage daily order and priorities in the shop. 4. Responsible for the Fleet Maintenance. 5. Assists Mechanics on repairs of equipment and fleet of pickup trucks as necessary. 6. Negotiate prices on various equipment purchases, both small and large pieces. 7. Assists with fleet decisions, i.e. purchasing, sales, salvage, and truck assignments. 8. Interact with vendors for parts, tires, tools, supplies, etc. 9. Take care of all state and local permits. 10. Monitor the recordkeeping for all shop activities, including timecards and invoicing. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and dynamic atmosphere. Must be a team player and driven individual, with a positive attitude. Salary commensurate with experience and industry standards.
