MIAMI — Tevin Coleman, the Oak Forest High School alum who is headed to his second Super Bowl this weekend, is expected to play just two weeks after dislocating his shoulder during the San Francisco 49ers' win over the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game. The 49ers will take on the AFC Champion Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIV in Miami on Sunday. The game starts at 5:30 p.m. central time. While Coleman has been limited in practice, he is expected to play according to a report on the 49ers Web Zone. Coleman, a running back in his fifth year in the NFL, is one of only three players on the 49ers' injury report. Linebacker Kwon Alexander and Safety Jaquiski Tartt have also been limited in practice but are all expected to play Sunday against the Chiefs as well. This won't be Coleman's first appearance in the Super Bowl. Three years ago he scored a touchdown to help give the Atlanta Falcons a 28-3 lead in Super Bowl LI before his team gave up 31 unanswered points in a loss to the New England Patriots.
