Description of Construction Laborer Position: • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas. • Assist foremen with all tasks as needed, follow instructions, and perform duties as assigned. • Perform all duties in a safe manner and in accordance with company policies and procedures • Ability to follow instructions, maintain good housekeeping around the site. • Ability to work nights if required. • Handle and transport materials and equipment • Use power tools and machinery when needed • Help with setting up and transferring temporary structures • Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions • Must be willing to travel to all job sites with valid driver’s license/dependable transportation • Major attributes of this position are reliability, punctuality (must show up on time) and professionalism; ability to work overtime as needed Description of Landscape Laborer Position: • Work effectively in a team to complete projects • Participate in planting and watering landscapes • Assist in hydroseeding commercial and residential landscapes • Prep landscapes for hydroseeding, laying sod, etc. • Construct retaining walls and lay sod • Install patios and walkways • Complete wood fiber installations and rodent prevention • Shovel snow and/or plow if needed • Perform other duties as assigned Primary Responsibilities of a Truck Driver: • Driving • Towing Equipment Trailer • Daily Inspections • Minor Roadside Repairs • Loading and Unloading of Truck and/or Trailer • Assisting On job site as needed • Shovel/Sweep • Move Machinery • Vehicle Maintenance • Check and Maintain • Maintain Clean Dust Free Interior Qualifications Preferred Qualifications of a Truck Driver: • Class A license is preferred • 2A hydraulics license is preferred • Completed OSHA 10 training required Requirements • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record • OSHA 10 certified • DOT Medical card • Reliable and available to work 40 hours a week • Can lift at least 50 lbs. • Works well in a team • Willingness to learn Preferred Qualifications • Experience in landscape construction industry • Experience with hydroseeders and tractors Available Benefits • Pay rate based on experience (prevailing wage opportunities) • Holiday pay • Sick time • Company contributes to health insurance • 401k • Yearly training and further education provided Please send your resume/work experience and three job references to [email protected] About Metro Equipment Corporation Metro Equipment Corporation was founded in 1986 and is a family-owned, woman-owned, small business that is WBE, and DBE certified with the Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office and Mass DOT.
