Tucked away in the $1.5 trillion dollar 2022 budget [that Joe Biden just signed into law yesterday] is a nice, fat raise for Congress. The budget appropriates $5.9 billion dollars to the Legislative Branch [House and Senate]. In that allocation is $774.4 million for the Members Representational Allowance (MRA). MRA funds the House office budgets, including their staffer's salaries. That's $134.4 million more than was allocated last year - a 21% increase. So while inflation rages out of control and lowers the value of your wages, the same politicians that caused the inflation are rewarding themselves with more money. Did you get a raise or at least a 21% tax cut. No. Disgusting! Why? Because YOU pay the salaries of these incompetents
