My husband and I just bought our first home and are looking to add a fur baby to our little family - it is currently just us and our 2-yo NM cat, Merlin. We do visit my parents' dogs regularly and plan to eventually (probably) have a human child, so the pet we adopt will need to be ok around other pets and children. I am also a veterinary technician and can therefore guarantee that I understand the medical/financial responsibilities of owning a pet.
