NJCTE 2022 Conference "SEL & ELA: Literacy for Life" in partnership with Pascack Valley School DistrictAccording to CASEL.org, social and emotional learning (SEL) is the process through which children and adults understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions. The Spring 2020 NJCTE conference theme, "SEL & ELA: Literacy for Life," invites educators to share their expertise in creating and sustaining social and emotional learning through the English Language Arts in their classrooms and schools.
