OAKBROOK TERRACE, IL — Tony Ragucci has stepped down from his post as mayor of Oakbrook Terrace months after news surfaced that federal agents seized $60,000 in cash from his house.
Ragucci and several other elected officials are part of a federal probe into SafeSpeed, the controversial company that uses red-light cameras in several Chicago-area suburbs, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Ragucci submitted his resignation on Friday, according to the newspaper.
