Keith A Gorley, age 70, of Tucson, Arizona passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022. Keith was born to Kathleen Alsena Liburd and Roger Seymour Gorley in New Haven, Connecticut. He is the third son of ten children who grew up on Dickerman Street in the Caribbean neighborhood of Hamden, CT. Keith attended Hillhouse High School and Southern Connecticut State University. Keith was a U. S Air Force Veteran. He joined the Air Force in 1971 and was honorably discharged in 1980. Keith was stationed at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Arizona. Upon his return to New Haven, CT, Keith married Theresa McGriff and had 2 children, and then later moved his family back to Tucson. He worked for the Department of Corrections until his retirement. In 2002, he attended the Interfaith Theological Seminary, and received a certification in Contemplative Practice and Spiritual Ministry. And in 2003, he attended Prescott College and received a Masters of Arts in Contemplative Theology. In 2018, Keith remarried to Karen Miller. Keith will always be remembered for his spirituality, his love of the sun, and the outdoors. Keith could be found reading Howard Thurman or contemplating the meaning of life. Keith discovered his love for tango and passionately attended classes for years. He started a Men’s Group in 2017 in hopes of supporting men to live with integrity and explore the meaning of manhood. He also enjoyed teaching classes at The Center for Spiritual Living. Keith was a spiritual leader in his community who impacted so many lives in Tucson and beyond. Before Keith passed, he finished writing his autobiographical book called, The Life Side of Life, which is set to be published in the coming months. Keith will be missed deeply and greatly by all those he touched. He is survived by his wife, Karen Miller, his son and daughter, Jason and Karmay. His sisters Brenda Johnson, Renee, Cheryl, and Jennifer, and his brothers Dennis and Jeffrey, along with several nieces and nephews, and many other family members. He is predeceased by his older brothers Roger, Robert, and Wayne. In lieu of flowers, please contact his daughter, Karmay to support the publishing of his book.
