Free Tours at Pima County Cooperative Extension Demonstration Gardens
Looking for a fun, educational, and free thing to do in Tucson? Come learn with us Wednesday or Saturday mornings, beginning at 9 am (February – May, and September – December). The tours begin at the extension office, 4210 N. Campbell Avenue. Our morning tours last for 90 minutes, and are led by our Pima County Master Gardeners.
The Pima County Extension Master Gardener Program maintains 14 demonstration gardens, which feature native, non-native and drought tolerant plants, and showcase various planting, irrigation, and composting methods for desert horticulture.
Masks are required and pets must be on a leash. Group tours for your club or association are also available. Call (520) 626-5161 for scheduling.
If you can't make our normal tour days, the gardens are free and open for the public to explore during daylight hours. We ask that you remain on the pathways, do not take samples, and make sure gates are closed behind you.
Come and learn what you can grow in the desert!
