Description

It's our annual visit to one of our original stomping grounds. This year we do two nights, each with a different opener. This memorial Day Weekend, we'll be joined by Good Morning Bedlam (May 28) and Maygen & the Birdwatcher (May 29). Last year was a total hoe down with people flying in, filling the nearby State Park campground and having a festy-style weekend hanging out with the us and our friends. We can't wait to see everyone again this year! More About Them Coulee Boys With four full-length albums and an EP behind them, including 2019's Die Happy (produced by Trampled By Turtles' Dave Simonett on Lo-Hi Records) and 2021's Namesake (produced by Grammy winner Brian Joseph), the band has garnered international attention and earned press in American Songrwriter, Ditty TV, Folk Alley and The Bluegrass Situation, as well as tours with Trampled By Turtles and a spot on the songwriter's Cayamo Cruise. In 2020 they were named Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Band to Watch. In 2021, they won Bluegrass/Americana Band of the Year by the Wisconsin Area Music Industry. More About Good Morning Bedlam Good Morning Bedlam has become an innovative force in the midwest folk scene. Their shows are known for their contagious energy, with members careening about the stage. With tight soaring three part harmonies, and thumping kick-drum, they captivate their audience night after night. Every song is a unique twist on what is generally dubbed as folk music. "We want to surprise out audience from song to song. Rather than creating our music to fit a genre, we allow it to be an outpouring of our own stories and unique sound," says Isaak, frontman of GMB. More about Maygen and the Birdwatcher Coming off the successful release of their stunning (Americana UK) debut full-length album, Moonshine, which earned them Midwest Country Music Awards for both Album of the Year and Americana Artist of the Year, Maygen & the Birdwatcher are poised for big things in 2022. Described as 'an exciting goulash of Kacey Musgraves, Chris Stapleton, Florence and the Machine and Joe Cocker" (MostlyMinnesota), the band showcases original songs, fantastic harmonies, and tight musicianship that keeps you anticipating what they will deliver next. They adventurously blur the sound of country, bluegrass, folk and blues, creating a sound both familiar and all their own. Tickets Tickets are $20 advance/$25 day of show and are currently limited to 500 revelers each night. All ages welcome, but those 16 and under must be accompanied by a paid adult. 12 and under are free. Gates open at 6pm. This is an outdoor, rain or shine event.
