NOVATO, CA — Marin County health officials reported 33 new coronavirus cases on Monday, bringing the county's total to 946. The death toll stood at 18.
Of the confirmed cases, 15 have been in the Novato area, according to county data.

Overall, 59 people have been hospitalized due to the virus since the county's first COVID-19 case was reported on March 8. Six people remained hospitalized Monday.
To date, the majority of confirmed cases and hospitalizations have been residents older than 50 years old, according to county data. All reported deaths have been residents 65 or older. The majority of confirmed cases, hospitalizations and deaths have occurred among residents who are male and of white, Hispanic or Asian race/ethnicity.
A total of 25,265 COVID-19 tests have been conducted in Marin. There have been 621 documented recoveries, according to county data.
