Description
WALTHAM, MA — A Waltham man is facing multiple charges after allegedly attempting to pay for sexual acts and distributing drugs, according to Massachusetts State Police.
Investigators said Charles Saia, 70, is facing charges including paying for sexual conduct, distribution of a class B narcotic, and possession of a class B narcotic.
Another man, Mohammed Elawad of Norwood, is also facing charges in the same case. He is accused of claiming to his victim that he was a state trooper and threatening to arrest her if she did not comply with his demands.
The victim was able to flee from Elawad's vehicle, said police.
Both suspects were booked at Boston Police District 2 and are scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday.
