The seat is currently being held by Republican Representative Craig Fishbein. "I'm thrilled to be running for State Representative of the 90th district. I'm a mother, a spouse, a teacher, and an attorney. I live in Wallingford and was born and raised in Connecticut. I am running to secure the future for my son, which means ensuring that we all thrive together. We all need security when it comes to healthcare, job opportunities, educational access, and so much more. I want to hear from you! Before returning to CT to start a family, Hyland graduated from the George Washington Law School in Washington, D.C., after which she worked as a public defender in Fairfax, Virginia. She then taught for five years at Sacred Heart Academy in Hamden, teaching psychology, history, civics, and law.
