NOVATO, CA — As it marks 100 years in the community, the Novato Theater Company is planning a "Sharing The Spotlight" live-streamed fundraiser this week, featuring performers from across the Bay Area. The virtual event and auction begins at 7 p.m. Saturday on YouTube, with access via the theater group's website here. Live and pre-recorded guest performances will include talent from various local theater groups that have supported NTC through the years. On the song-and-dance agenda are Daniela Innocenti Beem, Carl and Kelly Robinett, Julianne Thompson Bretan and Jon Bretan, AlisonPeltz and Family, Jake Gale, Tyler Marques and Heather Buck, with additional performers also planned, the theater company said. Archived videos of songs from previous shows will be screened, as well, based on requests. Nominations for favorite songs from past performances can be sent to [email protected]. And on the auction front, along with such items as wine, a Marinwood gift card, cupcakes, a handmade quilt, a week in Hawaii and estate planning, is a SF Bay voyage for six on the Matthew Turner, the newest tall ship in the world. See auction details here. The award-winning Novato Theater Company began in 1919 as a section of the Novato Improvement Club and was incorporated as a non-profit in 1947. The theater company's goal: "present quality theater to audiences and offer theatrical training and mentoring opportunities in a creative and supporting environment for performers of all ages." ----------------------- ALSO SEE: Fundraiser Launched To Save Legendary Irish Pub In SF
