FRAMINGHAM, MA - With the weather approaching 70 degrees in Framingham on Friday, political activity will also be heating up, as a candidate for lieutenant governor is one of several hopefuls for elected office who is expected to attend a standout in downtown Framingham from 4-6 p.m.
Rep. Tami Gouveia is seeking the office of lieutenant governor. The progressive Democrat grew up in Lowell. She currently represents the 14th Middlesex district, which includes part of Acton, Carlisle, part of Chelmsford and Concord. At one time, this district also included Holliston.
Dhruba Sen, a candidate for state representative and longtime community activist, confirmed via email and phone that Gouveia will be attending and is one of several candidates who have been invited to the standout.

This is not the only political attention Framingham recently has received. In early February, Maura Healy, the current state attorney general and candidate for governor, attended a virtual forum with Framingham Democrats.
