Job descriptionProgram Measurement and Evaluation CoordinatorJob Overview: The Prevention of Blindness Society of Metropolitan Washington (POB) seeks a Measurement and Evaluation Coordinator to contribute to POB’s measurement, evaluation, and learning (MEL) efforts for organizational programs. This position will be an integral part of measuring impact toward POB’s Mission.The full-time position will initially work on a performance measurement project that includes direct training, support, and community of practice with Urban Institute’s Measure4Change program. This unique opportunity will provide exceptional training and professional development. In addition, the position will coordinate all program measurement and evaluation activities with support from management.A strong candidate is motivated, analytical, and willing to work in a flexible environment. This position will provide a rare opportunity for training from top professionals in the field and immersion into nonprofit program operations.Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:• Serves as project lead with Measure4Change Cohort.• Assist in drafting data collection tools and protocols for qualitative and quantitative data collection initiatives.• Support the development of high-quality reports and dashboards for clients and partners.• Support data collection, cleaning, and analysis processes across programs.• Coordinate the development of an impact data repository and day-to-day management of critical data systems.• Partner with management to draft process standard operating procedures and MEL plans.• Develop and maintain an annual schedule of evaluation and data management activities, with support from management.• Draft template surveys for grantees, monitor survey responses and assist in a detailed review of monthly data reports and tracking.• Collaborate with other POB program staff to produce outcomes reports and data visualizations as required by the board of directors or funders.• Other tasks, as needed.Education and Experience:• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in nonprofit management, social work, public health, data science, business, economics, or a related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience• 1+ year(s) successful experience and training in data analysis/visualization, program management, reporting, performance evaluation, business intelligence, database management, or other relevant experience• Experience building data management systems• Familiarity with tools and techniques for managing and analyzing data• Knowledge and interest in vision health is a plus• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks• Ability to work in a flexible environment• Ability to work with a diverse and multi-disciplinary teamBenefits:• Fully-Paid Medical, Dental, and Vision Premiums for the employee; option to add dependents at employee expense• 401(K) Retirement Plan with matching• Vacation (12 days); Sick (12 days); Paid Holidays (11+)• Business Casual DressLanguage Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and proposals—the ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.Computer Skills: Proficient in Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive), Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Salesforce (or similar CRM database).Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here represent those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
