WESTFIELD, NJ — A local frozen yogurt shop, that is known in Westfield for helping people in desperate situations, is now raising money for a family very near and dear to the Westfield and Garwood communities. Bohemian Raspberry, or BoRaz as many call it, is hosting a 'Sundae Sunday Fundraiser' for Barbara Tweedle — a Westfield High School alumni and Garwood community volunteer who was recently diagnosed with stage four liver cancer. The fundraiser will take place on Sunday, March 20, from 1 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at BoRaz. All profits will be donated to the Tweedle family. Customers are encouraged to mention the fundraiser when ordering frozen yogurt. Tweedle, and her husband Allan, were Westfield High School sweethearts and have become known as "Mr. and Mrs. Garwood" for their devotion to volunteering and community service in the Borough. Allan has also been a lifelong firefighter and just finished his term as Garwood's fire chief last year. A GoFundMe was recently created for the family to help with their mounting medical expenses.
