Press release from the City of Novato: November 20, 2020 Join the City of Novato, Novato Police Department, Not In Our Town Novato (NIOT) and local partners for United Against Hate Week on November 30 - December 6, 2020. United Against Hate Week is a call for local civic action by people across the Bay Area to stop the hate and implicit biases that are a dangerous threat to the safety and civility of our neighborhoods, towns, and cities. During this week, NIOT Novato will be hosting a virtual event on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at 6pm via Zoom. This event will include a 12-minute viewing of "What It Takes to be Racially Literate", and an open conversation about how we continue creating an inclusive community. Event Registration NIOT Novato is part of a local and national grassroots effort to build safe, inclusive communities for all. The City of Novato, Novato Police Department, Novato Unified School District and North Marin Community Services have come together with residents to help move this important work forward.
