BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A North Jersey man has been charged after an investigation revealed he was unlicensed to practice physical therapy and had been barred by the state from treating patients.
Kim Pozharsky, 38, of North Bergen faces three counts of unlicensed practice of physical therapy, according to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella.
Pozharsky was the CEO and founder of Personal Care Professionals, a sports rehabilitation and medical wellness center. The practice was formerly known as First Step Solutions, Inc. and Kinu, Inc., Musella said. The business location is 935 River Road, Edgewater.
Pozharsky has never held a physical therapy license in New Jersey, Musella said.
The North Bergen resident had "been previously disciplined by the New Jersey State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners and barred from holding himself out to the public as a physical therapist or participating in any aspect of the care and treatment of patients," Musella said.
Bergen County Prosecutor's Office detectives began investigating Pozharsky in March, according to the news release. He was charged Monday.
