Description
MAYFIELD, OH — A ramp connecting I-271 and I-90 will be temporarily closed starting Monday, the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) announced this week.
The I-271 north express lane ramp to I-90 west/SR 91 will be closed at 9 p.m. on Monday and will remain closed through 5 a.m. on Tuesday. Crews will be doing pavement work during the closure, ODOT said.
Drivers who usually use that ramp during that time will be detoured along I-271 local lane exit to Mayfield Road/Wilson Mills Road.
As part of the same project, I-271 between Mayfield Road and I-90 will have off-peak lane restrictions between Monday and May 2022, ODOT said.
These new restrictions and closures are part of the I-271 resurfacing project taking place between Mayfield Road and I-90 in Highland Heights, WIlloughby Hills and Mayfield Village. The entire project should be finished in May 2022.
